Return to "Storyboard" mode and drag the specified transition for the space involving the movie clips. Click "Effects" and drag the effect you need to each section from the storyboard. The star will appear inside the lower left hand corner of the segment to show that an effect may be applied.

Return to "Timeline" mode then click and drag your audio track for the timeline. Make any adjustments you feel are necessary to edit the recording to match the background music. Select "Tools" and "Narrate timeline" if you want to add a narrative track for a movie. Plug in a directional microphone that works with your computer and then click "Start Narration." Watch the "Input level" to make certain that your computer is becoming adequate sound levels. Keep in mind that you will need to merge your music track using the narrative track by dragging one in the other if you would like to use both simultaneously in your movie.

Click "Titles and Credits" to add titles to the beginning of your respective movie or put them before or on selected clips, or to add credits to the end of the movie. Preview your movie by scrolling back to the beginning with the moview and pressing the play button within the preview window. Select "Publish Movie" when you are happy using the preview. Select the place where you would like to publish your movie, then click "Next." Select a term for the movie, decide on a location and click "Next."
