I don't even think piracy will ever hurt the movie industry, but I do think the excitement toward remakes and bad quality movies will affect the industry. Eventually, people might be more interested in the old classic movies instead of the mediocre formulas which might be filling the screens these days. The major Hollywood studios will miss more to competition from foreign films and independent films that they will from piracy.
